Mapping Jetties - River Tees

Providing critical data to enable strategic construction works on the river Tees.

Complex site, complex modeling

On site data capture is quick, but with multiple stakeholders good preparation is essential.

Digital Twin Model is not always the endpoint.

Chart of part of survey area

We were commissioned by our client to capture a digital twin and produce of CAD drawings of an area containing 3 industrial jetties on Teesside. These drawings were to include plan views and elevations from the river to assist in the planning of the modernisation of the quay area. This mission included flying the site and processing several thousand images into a highly accurate 3d model of the site, then the preparation of the drawings from the 3d model. Sections of the 3d model can be seen in the videos below and a high level Autocad (DXF) plan is visible to the left.

For the production of the charts we worked with our partners at Cellar Door Architecture.
